We met with the radiation doctor today.
There's been a little burble in getting a referral for a radiation doctor; we actually ended up with referrals for two different doctors. (There's a separate doctor who supervises radiation and the one we had last time is no longer in town.) That occasioned a little awkwardness, but in the end it was a good thing as we could discuss the choices with the current doctor....and that was good.
We saw the new guy today and he seemed both very nice and properly cautious. We were also able to nail down our schedule for the remainder of treatment and make various travel plans we'd been sitting on for a while.
It was, unfortunately, a bit of a scary meeting. We didn't learn anything new, but it was a chance to say all the scary things again that we've probably been avoiding saying out loud. Alas, that's probably a good thing too.
One more chemo to go this Thursday and that's a very good thing.

I agree that you've had WAY way way way too much scariness for any two people. Too much for any, well, 8 or 16 people, probably. I'm hoping for the universe to send you some calming and soothing things for the next 30 years.
Sorry that this morning was so rough, we will need to have many multiple celebrations for you guys once chemo5 is done!
oops - I meant chemo6. Dang it.
I am sending BIG LOVE (not the HBO series by the same name, but rather, serious major positive emotion) y'all's way!! Chemo6 sucky, but leading you on to a better path of good things. I can only strongly recommend a new set of reality TV for you. My vote goes for So you think you can dance (fox - Wednesday 7-9 for the dancing, Thurs 8-9 for results). This show was last summer's obsession and I think it
(oops...i gotta stop logging in midcomment!) anyways, I think it is a good downtime thing.
Love to all of you!!
