We saw the Chemo doctor yesterday. Just a check up, but we left with something like six new prescriptions. DKO goes over her various symptoms and the doctor tweaks the medicine chest.
We also ran into a woman S, who we know from DKO's first cancer when we participated in a support group in the hospital. S had undergone a double mastectomy and in the course of the conversation invited DKO and me to see the surgeon's work. It's a good thing to do and DKO took her up on it. I figured it was best to let DKO have first go at that, so I declined. S is very nice and I gather the surgeon did a real nice job of it. Good to know.
Two more to go, but I think DKO is bummed about giving over essentially her whole summer to chemo + radiation.

Yeah...but if she didn't give up this summer, there might not have been many more summers to come!
Hang in there, kiddo!! We're all thinking about you & sending you good vibes!!
:-)
we hope the meds help! And keep your hat/scarf on this summer if you do stay in AZ--no sense in getting meds for sunburns "on top" of everything else.
With the dbl m.-- is reconstruction an option? How does all that affect the psyche?
Lots of love from Steve and I! We're free wi-fi ing in Las Vegas airport. It was great seeing you and I hope all the meals and stuff helped out with general Hammohala morale!
