Fatigue

Not much new today. It was our usual "Wednesday at work". DKO was really tired, and it's clear that the bone pain and fatigure are increasing with each chemo cycle.

We have a wedding next week out of town and then chemo the following week. DKO has really been looking forward to the trip (Canada!), but we're concerned about her energy level. Will she be able to participate in all the wedding events or will she be exhausted, bummed, and depressed in the hotel room?

For myself, I can feel my sabbatical minutes ticking away and had a bit of a fear day. I think it's thinking about chemo and wondering if all DKO's discomfort will translate to good health.

Knock on wood!

Hey, did you hear that? I was knocking on wood!

Whatever you do, just enjoy yourselves. Di, if you're too tired to walk through the airport, get a wheelchair. Who CARES what people think? Save your energy for the fun stuff. Sit whenever you can, although lying down and resting would be best. You can always leave the reception and go back after you've rested. Take drives, EAT PROTEIN, eat chocolate, DRINK YOUR WATER! But remember, WHATEVER you do, it's RIGHT! Lots of love to you both. Mike, I know your fear. Whiskey helps alleviate it for a brief while. Sorry about drinking almost all of the Scoppa while I was there! :o)

I can check in with Itchy as to the best Canadian chocolate (medicinally speaking) for you to stock up on when you're there. Maybe a chocolate IV would help? And you should get one of those thingies like Cleopatra rode around on, the loungie thing, carried by 4 shirtless handsome men (sorry, MH) who also have palm fronds and can run and get you exotic fruit juices with little umbrellas in them. I think they have that stuff in Canada, right?

I think the idea of Canadian chocolate is wonderful; perhaps make it a part of the touristy stuff you do while in Canada!

I don't know about anybody else, but I've never seen what Amy describes in Canada. Though I'm sure somebody could get it going. But, you might wanna import some tanned guys if they're gonna be taking their shirts off. Trust me on this. :-)

But Canadian chocolate!! Coffee crisps!! (I forgot whether DKO likes those.. but something tells me she would like them!) & they have real English-kine Smarties! & Kit Kats! mmmm...

Where exactly are y'all going??

& I agree w/ Cathy - Protein! Vitamins! (I'm personally loving the Emergen-C powder stuffs) Water!

xxxooo

Hi Diane,
I went to Douglass to see you yesterday, could not find you (your door was open though).
Hope you are doing fine.
See you soon.
