C6 + 6

This has probably been the roughest one yet.

DKO has been in a funk since chemo six days ago and today, for the first time, she seems marginally better.

She'd had a PET scan scheduled for today, but was feeling so lousy, she cancelled out. Apparently you have to lie prone for something like an hour and she's been sleeping sitting up since the last chemo because of nausea. So we're going to have to reschedule the scan at some point.

Lots of other symptoms, mostly of the usual sort, just more.

As I mentioned she seems to be coming out of the funk/nausea, but somewhere in here will come the muscle/bone soreness, so we're bracing for that.

....and trying to keep in mind that this is the last one!

Diane, you're doing awesome!! I know it's tough right now, but you've been such a courageous trooper on all this...you can make it through this round! I can think of a host of people besides me sending you strength through our thoughts! The tunnel seems so dark right now, but there are rays of light. Hang in there!!

Tons and tons of love from us!

I'm with CollFitz - we're thinking of you and sending you lots of love. So sorry it's been such a nightmare! Also, there are two little tiny puppies whose eyes are opening and who are hoping to meet their auntie Diane and give her snuggles...

hey diane! this sounds awful but I bet the thought that it's the last one is pretty heartening! keep saying it to yourself.

Did you notice that Queen Hatshepsut is in the news these days? Pretty auspicous, I think. I'd never heard of her before your blog, and so I felt really clever and educated when I heard the piece on NPR about her.
